I’m getting more comfortable/confident with originals, in the sense that I don’t so much care about catering to an audience. Particularly events such as Porchfest, which are full of young families, children frolicking; it’s tempting to simply play tunes that make people happy. So I’ve wrestled with bringing heavier originals to these settings. But not today. I feel compelled to blast a voice through a yuppified neighborhood. We shall see…
